Service

Domain renewal
and deadline control

We track the expiry dates of every domain a client owns, send notices and file the renewal request in advance. Paying twice for the same period is excluded.

01Life cycle

What happens to a domain
after the term expires

Once the registration expires the domain passes through several states, and the owner's options narrow at each of them.

before expiry

Registration is active

The domain is delegated and works. Renewal can be filed at any time and adds one year to the term.

day 0

The term has expired

The registry removes delegation: the website and email stop responding. Renewal is still available to the administrator.

days 1-30

Preferential right

The domain is closed to registration by others. The right to renew belongs to the administrator alone.

day 31

Release

The name returns to open registration and can be taken by any applicant.

The release date is known in advance

The registry publishes the free-date field along with the registration term. The domain lookup on this site shows both dates, so the moment a name is released can be calculated ahead of time.

02How it works

Control on the provider side

The client does not have to track dates: notices and filing follow the service regulations.

Six notices

Letters are sent 90, 60, 30, 14, 7 and 1 day before the registration expires.

Auto-renewal

With auto-renewal enabled the request is filed in advance, without waiting for the client to confirm.

A single register

The client's domains are collected into one list with expiry dates and the current status of every name.

A fixed price

The renewal price is known in advance and does not depend on how close to the deadline the request is filed.

No downtime

The request is filed before delegation is removed, so the website and email keep working.

Portfolio report

For portfolios of 10 domains and more we prepare a summary of deadlines and completed operations.

03About the service

Deadlines and renewal

The questions that come up as the expiry date approaches.

Ask a question

The request is filed in advance, usually no later than 14 days before the term ends, and 30 days ahead with auto-renewal.

For 30 days after expiry the domain is closed to registration by others and renewal is still possible. After that the name is released.

Registration in the national zones is renewed one year at a time. The request is filed annually, and with auto-renewal without the client's involvement.

Yes. The renewal mode is changed upon a written request. Deadline notices keep being sent afterwards.
