Domain transfer
by AuthInfo code

We move a domain to another registrar. The registration term is preserved, delegation and DNS records stay the same, and the website and email keep working.

01Procedure

How the transfer goes

The transfer happens on the registry side; the client only obtains the code and confirms the request.

01

Readiness check

We check the domain status: whether transfer is locked and whether enough of the term is left.

02Transfer conditions

When a transfer is possible

The registry rejects the request if any of the mandatory conditions is not met.

The domain is not locked

The domain must carry no transfer prohibition and no dispute registered with the registry.

The term is still active

The domain must not be expired. If the deadline is close, renewal is recommended first.

Up-to-date details

The administrator details in the registry must be verified, otherwise the request is refused.

A valid AuthInfo code

The transfer code is issued by the current registrar and is valid for a limited time.

Delegation is preserved

NS records move unchanged. If needed, the values are changed after the transfer completes.

Payment for the period

A transfer is charged as a renewal and adds one year to the registration term.

03About the service

Before the transfer

The transfer touches the registry record, so the timing depends on the current registrar.

Ask a question

No. The paid period is preserved, and the transfer adds another year to the registration term.

No. Delegation and DNS records do not change during a transfer, so the domain keeps responding throughout.

The current registrar issues it to the domain administrator, usually through the client area or support.

From one to five business days after the request is filed. The time depends on how quickly the previous registrar confirms it.
